Los Textos de Hugo Clemente.. Ángel es un tipo sosegado. A simple vista uno podría pensar que es por la edad, en cuanto le escuchas un momento y menciona sus hijos piensas que también podría ser por eso, pero cuando te atrape con su discurso, y lo hará, comprenderás que toda la calma que desprende se debe a su sensatez. Surfista al punto de presidir la Federación Canaria desde 2002, profesor universitario de derecho administrativo y una de las cabezas visibles de un interesantísimo proyecto de modificación de bajas marinas para beneficio de surferos y habitantes de la costa. Vamos, como Mundaka pero al revés, y con las mejores intenciones. Cuéntanos rápidamente en que consiste vuestro proyecto en Tenerife. Bueno, no se trata exactamente de una ola artificial. La ola que rompe frente al lago Martiánez en el Puerto de la Cruz ya existe, es una baja maravillosa que produce una ola de derecha e izquierda, pero afloran rocas que comprometen la seguridad del surfista y la calidad de la ola. ¿En qué fase se encuentra el proyecto? El estudio previo y necesario para la realización del proyecto de ejecución ya se encuentra entregado a las autoridades competentes y el proyecto de ejecución y la dirección de la obra ya han sido licitadas y asignadas a una ingeniería. ¿Qué tal acogida tiene un proyecto como este entre los surfistas? La gente está flipando, opinan que si se realizara el proyecto sería como un sueño, todo surfista conoce olas perfectas que, con un poco de ayuda, podrían ser surfeables como este caso. ¿Y entre los políticos e instituciones publicas? ¿Y entre las asociaciones ecologistas? Todo el proceso se está desarrollando con ayuda pública, por lo que las distintas administraciones están muy implicadas. El surf es ya una realidad social, económica y deportiva. Por otra parte la incidencia medio ambiental del proyecto es mínima, y los ecologistas somos, en buena parte, nosotros mismos, por lo que no hay ningún problema. ¿Cuando veremos esto implementado en nuestras playas? Si se cumplen los plazos previstos quizás en el 2015 o 2016 estaremos hablando de una nueva ola maravillosa que se puede surfear en el Puerto de la Cruz. ¿Por qué es mejor vuestro proyecto que la ola artificial de Siam Park? No se pueden comparar, son diferentes. Nuestra ola no es artificial, sino natural, ya existe, solamente debemos mejorar la baja sobre la que ya rompe la ola. ¿Local o global? Piensa global y actúa localmente. Si no surfearas… Hay muchas cosas que hacer en la vida, el surf es una de ellas, muy importante, claro, pero no es una obsesión. Cual es tu spot favorito? Lobos en Bajamar, Igueste, la izquierda de Las Palmeras y en general cualquier ola que te deje jugar con ella. Me ha tocado la lotería y tengo dinero para aburrir, convénceme para que financie vuestro proyecto en 3 frases El surf es una actividad con mucho futuro y sin olas no hay surf. Cada vez hay más gente en el agua. Necesitamos más olas para que la gente disfrute.

All the local guys were legends, Axi Munain, showed us the spot and shared his knowledge of the wave, 'what a legend' is all I can say. "After six hours of joy we had to head in and take a break. Lyndon and I sat on the cliff watching Axi confidently hacking the shit out of 12ft glassy faces for the last hour of light, even with his broken ribs from the last swell. "A day like that followed by a couple of San Miguels to finish it off, doesn't happen that often. I'm still buzzing."

Que es Viajar ?

Por Mireia Martinez de su Blog: mireiamartinezphotography.tumblr.com/ -Qué es viajar?- Viajar es trasladarse de un lugar a otro; generalmente distante, por cualquier medio de locomoción. Esa es su definición , pero para mi viajar es mucho más… Viajar no es solo trasladarse de un lugar a otro, viajar es soñar, es vivir, es libertad, es conocer, sentir, experimentar, son emociones, nervios e ilusiones únicas e inolvidables, es aprender, es supervivencia, necesidad, una forma de vida. Es volar! Es mucho mas que comprarte un billete con hora de llegada y hora de salida, mucho mas q visitar monumentos y museos. Es aventura, conocer culturas y formas de vida, aprender del día a día , de sus costumbres, conocer lo que realmente son y adentrarte en su mundo sin seguir un guía turístico donde solo ves la belleza superficial, una única realidad. Mi viaje comienza mucho antes de mi partida, mi viaje comienza en mi sueño, en la idea que se forja en mi cabeza en el momento que siento y ansío el viaje y ese sentimiento es infinito, ese viaje no termina nunca. Cada uno tiene una forma de viajar, y en estos últimos días he conocido a una persona que en solo una conversación me ha enseñado mas que 5 años de universidad. Su estilo de vida es admirable al igual que su humildad y conocimiento, hoy me ha dicho mientras me contaba sus admirables historias, que hay muchas formas de viajar y todas ellas respetables pues al fin y al cabo hay que hacer lo que a cada uno le gusta, seguir y luchar por aquello que amas y ser feliz. Es simplemente eso “hacer lo que te gusta!” hacer aquello con lo que te sientes bien! Solo eso, no hay mas! es así de simple. Nos pasamos la vida complicando las cosas ansiando la felicidad y buscándola en lo material, esperando que llegue, esperando que nos la den… Los momentos que vivimos no se repiten nunca, cada día es un mundo nuevo e inexplorado y las personas que conocemos en los viajes con quien compartimos estos momentos, son únicas, reales e inigualables, Son personas que vienen y van en tu vida pero que siempre estarán en tus recuerdos y en tu corazón y sabes que si sigues viajando, las volverás a encontrar en algún otro lugar del mundo y compartirás una historia completamente diferente. Algunas solamente pasan y aprendes de ellas , con otras simplemente creas una amistad para el resto de tu vida. Gracias a todos los que estáis en mi vida y que me enseñáis cada día . Y agradecer a las personas que han compartido este viaje conmigo, en cierto modo hacéis parte de mi y de todos he aprendido. Agradecer especialmente a “Kepa Acero”, quien hoy y en estos últimos días de viaje compartió sus experiencias con nosotros y no sólo me ha enseñado una lección de vida sino un estilo de vida. Pues al fin y al cabo sigue su propio consejo y hace aquello que le gusta! y a los modelos de esta fotografía jhon, miguel, ayoub, karim y kepa…. aúpa! Y tú haces lo que te gusta???? Live The Search Europe - Part 2 - United Kingdom

Jayce Robinson and Lyndon Wake continue their southbound voyage through Europe. This fragment of the trip sees them explore the United Kingdom and happen upon a stack of cold, classy waves along those often underestimated shores.

They have already travelled the coast of Ireland in search for new hidden spots and waves that are foreseen as cold and stormy monsters.
Here is the story of the second part of their trip.

The boys are currently travelling through spain and plan to venture through France and Portugal. Then ending up in the Canaries.

The European winter is awaiting them.
